There are certainly no shortage of museums and galleries in the UK. So here’s a quiz: what is Britain’s first art gallery? Answer: Foundling Museum, formerly known as Foundling Hospital in the days when it served as a home for abandoned children. Art doesn’t come cheap. This museum (unlike several others in the city) will cost you 5 quid to get in.
